2 January 2015 - Flying at GGC!

A rare occurrence at Pendleton; flying early in the New Year!  Here are pictures from Martin Lacasse:

From Douglas L-L:

The pictures from Tom Hastie and Martin tell it all. A cold but tolerable day with blue skies, and believe it or not, some weak thermals. The three Club two seaters were in operation and 17 flights were flown. Six each in BQN and the Puchacz, and five in the Blanik. These stalwart Winter pilots were:
Tom Hastie; Jean-Marc Chadourne; David Giroux; Evan Dewe; Gord Jeremic; Gary Paradis; Doug L-L; Karl Boutin; Lee Faskin, Remy Knoerr; and two of Remy's passengers. A couple of 'Spring Check Flights' were flown, and the lucky last flight of the day, flown by Karl Boutin & Lee Faskin, took advantage of the weak thermals that had progressively developed and had a flight of 53 minutes.

At Martin's foresight in view of the impending snowy weather, we put Luc Savoie's Cessna into the hangar while he is, no doubt, languishing, in some bistro over cocktails, in sunny Brazil.
The cameraderie around the welcome fire in the clubhouse was something to behold.

HAPPY NEW YEAR,

Douglas
